Awesome Mean….

Awesome is used to be just another word in this world. Then suddenly it became LEgendarrryyyyyyyyyy because of Barney and few more people. Today I was googling about the meaning of awesome and its usage. I never thought I will write about a word.

Ok… coming down to the point the word awesome technically or literally means this:

adj.

1. Inspiring awe: an awesome thunderstorm.

2. Expressing awe: stood in awesome silence before the ancient ruins.

3. Slang Remarkable; outstanding: "a totally awesome arcade game" (Los Angeles Times).

It is an adjective and can be used as adverb or noun too. But recently it’s usage in india has a new meaning which I came to know accidentally. You appreciate someone saying that you are awesome they will feel shy. If you say awesome to a girl in front of her fiancé or would be it may lead to break up as awesome in front of him is like you know I had an affair with her.

If you say it someone in a public meeting then it definitely means you are into her or she is into you. If you keep on saying awesome to appreciate to your female colleagues you are treated as playboy in the office. I never understood when does Awesome became a word that should not be said in public.

My friends always used it as a word to praise somebody not to flirt. I know when to flirt and what to use when you flirt but never thought awesome became a word like that. [Awesome is not equal to u tasted like vanilla]. I still don’t get it how it achieved that status.

With such a progression in the culture, and change in meanings I am left with nothing but use only good, better best only for the coming years. Hope people learn the rightful meaning of what they use. :P. Anyhow unknowingly using this may help you get a false status to keep it up don’t talk much use only high end gre or gmat words you can easily be counted as a guy or girl who is fast in Indian culture. You know what fast means in india.Sometimes using awesome in public makes others think that u r a pervert too... perceptions are pretty dangerous buddy...

I don’t know now the list of non-usable words are piling up… Have fun all….As ignorance is bliss use it for ur own good. Or else try enlightening people.
